How many people can Bayside Palau Bed & Breakfast accommodate?

We have only one unit with one double bed in the room, suitable for one or two people. We can provide an air mattress for a child, but more than two adults in the unit won’t be very comfortable.

What is your room rate?

The nightly room rate at Bayside Palau B&B varies by season. It includes airport transfers, breakfast for two, free WiFi, and the use of our kayaks and paddleboards. Will you pick us up at the airport?

Yes, any time of the day or night. We will also drop you off there, all at no additional cost. If you’re staying in another hotel for part of your Palau trip we will pick you up and/or drop you off there as well.

Do you have Internet service?

Yes, a WiFi connection is available in the B&B guest room and the outside deck. Due to limitations of our national telecom system it’s not very fast, but it does work, and at no additional cost. Audio Skype works well but video is a little sketchy. Palau uses American standard 110 volt 60 hz power.

How do we get around Koror when we stay at Bayside Palau B&B?

There are taxis available that can take you into town at a reasonable cost. If you plan to go out frequently during the day, it may be more economical to rent a car, which you can also do at a reasonable rate. If you’re primarily diving, most of the dive shops will provide transport, but we recommend you check with them.

Can we walk into town?

Yes, but it’s about a 45-minute walk to “downtown” Koror from the Bayside Palau Bed & Breakfast. There’s a convenience store about a mile and a half away from the B&B where you can pick up most of what you may want or need, and it’s an easy and pleasant walk.

What can we do about meals other than breakfast?

If you’re diving, the dive shops will pick you up at Bayside Palau B&B and provide lunch. If not, you can either take a taxi into town and find a restaurant, call one of the restaurants that deliver food, or call one that will pick you up at the BnB and drop you off.

Are there any sandy beaches nearby?

Well, that depends on how you define “nearby”. Palau’s geology doesn’t provide for the formation of beaches except in isolated areas in the Rock Islands. There are several beaches you can reach by kayak but you should be an experienced paddler in good condition to get there and back. We can provide a map showing where they are.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, we take all major cards except American Express. Because of the high fees Amex charges, most businesses in Palau do not take them. The most commonly used cards are Visa, MasterCard and JCB.
